As part of the ROBOSCHOOLS project, our team visits or is visited by students from various schools in Sibiu, where we introduce the children to the fascinating world of robotics and sharing FIRST values in the community. We teach them how to code and build robots, and then they solve quizzes and develop their creativity.
As part of the "Children for Children" project, our team takes part in charity events. These events are a school tradition and all the money raised from sales is donated. We love this events and usually sell 3D-printed decorations and keychains, as well as the chance to play football with robots.
Every year, Gear Maniacs Junior takes part in the "Sibiu International Marathon", where we self-finance our team. This activity lets our friends help our team while also spreading the FIRST values in our community and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. And it's all done with a side of fun!
During the MASTERPIECE season, our team created the ArtHub app, a time capsule containing all the memories and traditions of our school, preserved for future generations to come. The posts range from traditional Saxon dances to plays and many other pleasant memories. Through this app, we have combined art with technology and tradition.
During the SUBMERGED season, we created the WaterWatchers app, which centralizes data related to water pollution for NGOs. By scanning photos, the app calculates the percentage of pollution and transposes this information onto a map. This way, NGOs know where it is most important to take action.
